Autumn Artifacts: Pottery from Around the World (3rd-5th)

This fall, embark on a cultural journey with "Autumn Artifacts: Pottery from Around the World" at Jimmy Potters' mobile pottery workshop! Each week, young artists will explore a new country, delving into its rich pottery traditions and crafting their own clay creations inspired by global masterpieces. From the intricate designs of Moroccan ceramics to the vibrant patterns of Mexican Talavera tiles, children will experience the beauty and history of diverse cultures. Zumba (3rd-5th)

Kids in Motion Zumba class is a high energy, contagiously exciting dance fitness workout specifically designed for children. Classes are designed with kid friendly music, movements, and routines. In addition to a dance workout, they will also play games such as freeze dance, dancing 4 corners, limbo, center star, follow the leader, balloon games, limbo, and many more. Zumba for Kids is a perfect fit for children and it creates an environment of excitement around being healthy and active! This class helps children make friends, get active after school, and love dance fitness. 

Chess (3rd-5th)

Learn chess with Magnus Academy (formerly Silver Knights), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. Glow in the Dark Art with Kidcreate (3rd-5th)

These projects will ROCK your child’s world long after the lights go out at night. You guessed it, all the project we create in this camp will glow-in-the-dark! How cool is that?!?!?! We will be working with a variety of different art supplies including clay, paint and other luminescent materials to create masterpieces your child will be ready to show off in the dark!
